PRESENTATIONS:

Pam will come decked out in her butterfly-themed outfit and will be ready to highlight key points from the book. She will actively engage all students by reading the book aloud and/or referring to it when discussing thought-provoking questions. Get ready for a captivating learning experience!

Pam is not limited to the following, but here are some ideas!

Writing process: She can also tie it into her author journey or into the Rockstar Writers® program.

Figurative Language:  She can give a general lesson on similes or go into a deep dive into the types of figurative language for word choice!

Narrative Writing Elements:  She can teach more narrative elements such as plot, tension, dialogue, character development, hooks, problem/solution, you name it!

Positive Mindset:  She can talk about how different character traits and self-growth.

Behind the Scenes: She can show sketches to illustrations, and tell about the background of the story. (Her daughter is in the story, who is now an adult and often accompanies Pam.)

Time-elapsed Videos:  She can show a caterpillar forming a cocoon and a butterfly emerging from the cocoon.

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Butterfly craft with pipe cleaners (a small charge for materials)
